Christmas time around the World

December 16, 2015

Ahhh, Christmas time…!

There are the glowing Christmas lights, sparkling snowflakes, the festive music, the giving spirit, and the holiday parties. Kids all over the world delight in decorating Christmas trees, baking Christmas goodies, and the excitement of Santa Claus. The buzz of the holiday season is almost magical, yet Christmas is even better than the fun celebrations. On Christmas every year, Christians celebrate the birth of Christ. Let’s see some great Christmas decorations from all over the world and just wait for the magic of Christmas to come…!

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess , Arizona

At Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort in Arizona, decorations include a four-storey-high musical Christmas tree, 2.8 million LED lights strewn across the property and – perhaps most unexpected in this arid setting – an ice rink

Burberry,  Claridge’s London

This year, Burberry’s Christopher Bailey has created a distinctly British tree for Claridge’s in London. Beautifully illuminated and finished in gold and silver, it is made of metallic umbrellas.

Four Seasons George V Paris

At Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris , master florist and creative director Jeff Leatham has designed a winter wonderland composed of penguins and polar bear.

Hotel d’Angleterre : Copenhagen, Denmark

The illumination of Hotel d’Angleterre’s Christmas facade is eagerly awaited by the people of Copenhagen each winter. This year, it represents vulnerable people throughout the world and is intended to remind viewers of the wonder of nature.

Le Grand Bellevue, Gstaad

In Gstaad, Le Grand Bellevue takes a commendably sustainable approach to the festive season. Its 35-metre-tall Christmas tree, the biggest in Switzerland, is alive and stands in the hotel’s garden throughout the year. Illuminated on December 18 this year, it is dressed with 40,000 lights.

The Peninsula New York

New York City’s Peninsula Hotel is dressed for the season with an illuminated facade that is draped in fairy lights. And like its sister properties worldwide, the hotel is also selling 300 limited-edition “SnowPage” toys, with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Fairmont San Francisco

The Fairmont San Francisco each Christmas erects an enormous gingerbread house. This year’s is 22-feet high and 23-feet wide and is made of thousands of gingerbread bricks and more than a ton of royal icing and sweets. And should you be considering a stay there, the Fairmont San Francisco penthouse is one of the most beautiful suites in America.

The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel

At the Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria hotel, the lobby is transformed into a shimmering festive walkway.
